What it is
Calcium is a mineral measured in milligrams (mg). Dairy foods, seeds and nuts have the most per 100 g, and some legumes and leafy greens contain it too. This page answers what foods are high in calcium and which give the most calcium for each dollar. The list compares equal weights and equal dollars, not serve sizes, so a seed that is high per 100 g may be eaten in smaller amounts than milk or yoghurt.
What foods are high in calcium?
Per 100 g, the highest values are in sesame seeds, cheese (cheddar) and chia seeds. By food group, Eggs and dairy has the highest average, at 205 mg per 100 g.

Calcium per dollar
Each food's calcium per kg is divided by its price per kg in your location, so the list shows how much calcium $1 buys. For the bone-in cuts marked with *, I first multiply by the share that is meat. Foods with no price for your location are left out.
